Ger I cant see where the next goal is coming from, never mind 3 points and our games if the opposition show up and the way we are playing are just as hard as any of the other teams, because at least they are showing some fight.
But the point I was making was that we mightn't even need to get a win from anywhere. That doesn't mean I'm happy with where we are, it's just the way I see things panning out. As I said, it's far from certain, but I would still say it's more likely than the other teams picking up the results needed.

Many more performances like the second half last night and I'll begin to question Alex's suitability for the job.

Begin!?

Bloody hell that's some blinkered patience.

It was awful.
Take it from me, he won't be sacked, relegation or not.
Even if they did sack him, they'd have to cough up 2 years of his contract -
£4m, money we haven't got.
That's what sickens me about the modern game, it rewards failure.

If we go down we'll go the way of Sheff Wed.

We have no money, N'Zogbia, Gabby, Bent, Given, Ireland will leave and we'll be
left with kids, many of whom are not good enough - Albrighton is simply not up
to scratch, Bannan is hopeless.

spot on ....   how depressing

I do not understand this "we can not afford to sack him" mentality. At approximatley £750,000 per league position available in prize money, I estimate he has cost the club around £3.5m this year alone in revenue from the place we should be finishing (around 8th - 11th imo) with the squad he had at his dsposal. If we stay up, add that amount next year as well ........ Costing us approximatley £7m in lost revenue to keep him for two seasons ............ How much to pay him off I wonder?

I would be extremely surprised if we lost all three games.

I don't expect us to win any of them, but I'm pretty sure we won't lose all of them.
Blues lost all 3 games last season and picked up one point in 5 games
We're not them. We've not lost more than twice in a row all season and I still don't think that's going to change in the next three matches.
I hate to say it but neither had Blues.Sad I know but I've checked

I've been to patient with the guy this year, but unless something drastic happens now then we're in the shit. We can only rely on the 4 below us to not get any results.

VILLA (36 pts)
Sat 28 Apr: West Brom (A) L
Sun 6 May: Tottenham (H) D
Sun 13 May: Norwich (A) ?
FINAL PTS: 37 or 38

QPR (34 pts)
Sun 29 Apr: Chelsea (A) D
Sun 6 May: Stoke (H) W
Sun 13 May: Man City (A) L
FINAL PTS: 38

WIGAN (34 pts)
Sat 28 Apr: Newcastle (H) L
Mon 7 May: Blackburn (A) D
Sun 13 May: Wolves (H) W
FINAL PTS: 38

BOLTON (33 pts)
Sat 28 Apr: Sunderland (A) L
Wed 2 May: Tottenham (H) D
Sun 6 May: West Brom (H) W
Sun 13 May: Stoke (A) D
FINAL PTS: 38

BLACKBURN (31 pts)
Sun 29 Apr: Tottenham (A) D
Mon 7 May: Wigan (H) D
Sun 13 May: Chelsea (A) L
FINAL PTS: 33

That is my prediction, and I stick with us needing 2 points. 1 last night would have sealed it as it was Bolton, but we are now needing the others to lose. IF QPR lose on Sunday, I reckon 1 point will do it, but it is all down to that. Blackburn and Wolves are gone already now. So tight, and if we cannot find 2 points from West Brom and Norwich with nothing to play for and a very out of sorts Spurs, then there is no hope left.

Fair enough then.

In which case, I might join those preparing the nooses.

I'd be very surprised if we lost our last 3 games, we have only lost 5 out of 17 away matches all season, I think Man U are the only team to have lost fewer, so I'd expect at least 1 point from the remaining  2 away matches, which should just about be enough.  I wasn't expecting a draw at Anfield, if we could just pull out one more performance like that in the next 3 we'll be ok.

I hope you're right, but I believe we will, unless we can score more than one goal in a game, and at present, that seems very unlikely.

2 we are safe. 1 we are in the hands of the chelsea result on Sunday.

None of you are even considering the possibility that we (QPR) might get more than a point out of a Chelsea side that have had a tough, tough couple of weeks, do not have a recognised centre back pairing, and are more interesting in two cup finals in the next four weeks?

We've beaten them once already this season, and that was back when we were genuinely rubbish.

Why don't they have a recognised centre back pairing?

Why can't Terry and Ivanovic play?
