can i just remind everyone that Aston Villa did not get relegated tonight,

there are still 5 teams below us in the league and we are 3 points clear with only 3 games to play

We're going down. Just like we were at the start of the season. Just like we were on 17th June 2011 when that poor excuse for a manager was brought in by the totally inept Randy Lerner.

I lost all enthusiasm for the club at that point and decided not to renew as enough was enough.

I won't be going back in a long time. They say you have to experience the bad to appreciate the good times, but boy am I not thinking like that.

I'll look out for the results, come on here occassionally, but my love for Aston Villa has come to and end.

your hurting at the moment, we have been bad and we will be back you never leave your first love

Right I need some reassurance from those who are certain we're safe as houses.

I need someone to tell me how the bookies don't get things wrong and how unlikely it is that the teams below us will win enough games to overtake us.

How we're bound to get more points and how I shouldn't worry about the fact we've had the worst home results this season of our club's entire history.

Because, I've got to be honest, I'm absolutely bricking it after tonight.

Do you expect us to get another point? I don't.

Wolves and Blackburn are almost certainly down.

QPR play Chelsea and KMan City, but also Stoke at home. Stoke won't have anything to play for, I expect a QPR win putting them a point ahead of us.
Bolton play Tottenham, Stoke, Sunderland and West Brom. 4 points seem doable from that lot
Wigan have a tough game against NEwcastle, but then have Wolves and Blackburn, so while it can't be taken for granted, 6 points is a real possibility.

We;ve jsut lost to a relgation contender. We;ve won 1 game in 13 matches, and haven't won at home in 5 months.

I can see us getting 1 point from the next 3, against Norwich, maybe.

From the time Dunne and then Collins got injured we were in trouble squad wise, we are so thin on the ground for senior players it was injuries that would haunt us. All those that were for playing the kids this is what you get, they tried their hearts out tonight but once Davies came on our defence were in trouble.

That's bollocks I'm afraid.  The inept performances by Dunne and Collins (along with others) earlier in the season put us in this position.  Playing the kids is fine and is something we should've done more of in recent times, dumping them at the shit end of the season and expecting them to save us is unfair to them.  Doing it whilst playing half them out of position in a play style totally at odds with everything they've been trained is asking for the trouble we're in.

these prediction things are just rubbish,
Chelsea just knocked out the greatest football team of all times with 10 men and no centre halfs.

who'd have thought it

The only upside to this sorry state of affairs is I put 100 quid on us to go down, at 16-1. Some call it being a terrible fan, I call it hedging my bets. ;)

True, it's difficult to predict even a single result, never mind a whole bunch of them, several weeks in advance.

I genuinely admire your optimism, but this evening it looks like we're staring relegation in the face. Maybe we'll beat Albion this weekend, but I don't fancy our chances.

It's 50-50% now.  I'm actually wondering whether it would be better to get rid of McRelegator before Saturday as we desperatly need to change something.  He must, must be gone at the end off the season now either way so I'd pull the pin and hope for a reaction.

I think we might get hammered if we don't on Saturday.
