Calm the fuck down we've still got a gap and unless we lose Tuesday we're safe. Even then spurs look crap, wba are crap and Norwich have there sombreros on already.

I can't remember the last time we lost to Bolton at home can you lovejoy?!!!! Neither Spurs or WBA are crap, we most certainly are though. And then there's Norwich, last game of the season, go out on a bang, thank you to the fans etc etc. Whilst I still think we will stay up, this absolute certainty that we we will - as if it's unequivocal - is, as I said above, deeply mystifying.

Oh, and by the way Lovejoy, I hope you are utterly right in what you say, I really do!

Well quite. I'm not saying we are unequivocally safe but when you think it through its pretty unlikely and if you dont believe me pile on at 14/1 at betfair. If we don't lose to Bolton I cant see us going down.

I'd hate to think what it would be like if we were in the same boat as Blackburn or Bolton some on this forum would be suicidal.

Only good news is Tuesday is my Birthday....and I genuinely can't remember the last time we lost on my birthday or a day or two either side of it.

And on it goes, us still not putting our PL future to bed - death by a thousand draws.

As said before, i've no idea why anybody does the predictor at this time of year, freakish results always happen in the relegation battle and often one of the teams that goes is almost always a side on one of the best runs of form, they just can't mnake up for the dross of the previous 32 matches etc.

A draw at Bolton still won't mean we're safe, no less than the Fulham win at home did. We need a win.

60% - 40-% that we stay up but that's shrinking every week imo.

Terrifyingly just did the predictor and had us 18th (and going down), on 36 pts. We lost out to QPR, also on same pts and goal difference...so presumably relegated due to not scoring enough. Sums it up.
I had Bolton and Wigan down to get the results they need.
Also have usual suspects down to get champs league..newcastle and spurs to fade

Going down to 'the championship' should be unthinkable for Aston villa 2012.

We are still right in the shit folks. Bolton is 'must win'.

It isn't at all but considering they are shite and we haven't won a game since the Triassic it would certainly be nice if we did win it.

Isn't it sad that we are hoping to beat Bolton on Tuesday,at home,to try and keep our premier league status?Fuckin ridiculous state of affairs in my book. When old pubehead left us in the shite i bet non of us connected with Villa thought that we would be in this mess.To me and many others its f..kin obvious what we have to do.I will say no more cause i will start ranting and then i will get told off.But it is fu..in obvious, isn't it?

Would love to have your confidence. Really would. I had us down on 37 points on the predictor thing. It would be possible to drop in on the last day of the season.

We still have Dunne and Bent.

I imagine they'll be back for the Norwich game, with the Euro's around the corner.

Not sure I'd want to rely on them but I'd prefer them to Baker and Gabby at the moment.

still think bolton are the only one who can do us, so the swansea draw was a result for us. Blackburn could stay up but not at our expense i reckon. If bolton beat us then the alarms bells will really be going but i can't see it.

Look at that fecking wins column.  If we do drop we'll fully deserve it.
