Randy flying back to brum as we speak .

I'm going to have to have another barley sugar. All this travelling is making me feel unwell.

They will have been warned well away from di Matteo by the local press, and anyone else who's dealt with him.

It's going to be be Di Matteo.  If it's not him I'll eat my shorts.

If it IS Di Matteo I'll eat my shorts! John Terry was manager at Chelski, and RDM's record in the PL for the Boggies was woeful

I think he's right up there unfortunately. He won't get the Chelsea job and it feels like we are just biding our time. I've no evidence for this, just a gut feeling.

Might be worth a lazy tenner.

His contract is due to expire there on June 20th.  Ideally we'd want a manager in before then, but with the Euros coming up, that normally results in a knock on delay to the transfer market anyroad.

I get more of a feeling it will be RDM rather than AVB or RM.  Poyet would be my outside bet and Grayson my least favourite.

Over the past week or so, I too have started to believe more and more that it will be RDM.  I just feel that everything going quiet over the past few days could be an indication that the heirarchy at the club are waiting for Chelsea's decision before they make their move.

Despite his achievements with Chelsea, I still think RDM would be an average appointment at best.  He would still represent an improvement on McLeish, but that would be about it.

ps.  I still haven't forgiven him for scoring the winning goal against us in the FA Cup final in 2000!!

Let's hope they take that advice on board.

AVB is mentioned a lot and lots of people would welcome him - so why is he not on the poll?

If he came there are many plus points - do you think our fans would buy into the long term strategy or would they be on his back straight away?

On TS - Durham calls him useless (pot meet kettle i think) Andy Jacobs who is a Cheslea fan at least said that his team selections ranged from strange to madness - hell even TSM outwitted him at Stamford bridge!

What do the Porto fans think?

I find it hard to judge him on Chelsea as he was trying to get rid of the old guard and their influence, as per Abramovich's brief. It was the near impossible job.

However, when they did go back to the old guard then they won the CL so its a tough one.

Also if Chelsea thought he was any good ,especially after winning 2 cups they would keep him. Doesnt bode well  :-\

He's not a big enough name for Chelsea though, you know what Ambramovich is like.

Was he that much of an arse to deal with?

Still fancy Poyet. Martinez is really intriguing and I would love us to play like he can get his side playing but I don't think he is going to come, so rule him out to be honest!

Does it matter how arsey he is in the press if he get's results? Lambert is meant to be 'awkward' with the National press...
