That's Liverpool not us

Source- Big mouth Whelan

Whelan gave the impression Martinez would want full control

Would have liked to see what Chris Hughton would have done with the Villa pre McLeish. Have to admit we let our snobbery get in the way of appointing a good manager. As much as I believe we are a big club, in other peoples eyes we are not. We let that thinking cloud our judgement when going for a new manager. Other teams are picking up your Lamberts, Rodgers etc and getting on with it. It's about time we got back to the basic's in a Ron Saunders kind of way and regained that spirit that made it so exciting supporting Aston Villa.

If Chelsea dont want Di Matteo I think we should go for him, still lives in Leamington with his family so that could help.

Do we have to ask his parents for permission to talk to him?
