I really can't decide now, I was really optimistic for OGS for as much reason as I don't particularly want any of the others we've been linked too.

Lambert for me is the best option but even he, for me, would be progression on the same path we've been on for most of randy's time at the club.  My misgivings with that are that I see this summer as our best opportunity for a change in philosophy, money will have to be spent, the youngsters are a big part of the squad and a fair few of the overpaid under-performing 'seniors' have gone.

Still holding out hope for a Rangnick or Loew to come from nowhere and be announced.

In Norway there is a big break next Tuesday after the next couple of games. It still would not shock me if a Ron like turn around happened, and we are simply waiting it out for some reason.

Hope so, but I can't see it.

i hope so as well, i've got £80 riding on the Scandy Twat

It is highly unlikely, but the comments about Villa asking for more talks and now not being the time etc... Dunno, Villa are very, very quiet, and OGS has clearly had his hand forced by Rokke to some extent and his family on the other. If he is now doing the whole sitting at home and thinking what if.. there may be another card to play. Never do know.

Got a horrible gut feeling we'll end up with Curbishley.

Free, available and has the 'Premier League experience' that Faulkner and co require.

I'm on Abit of downer about Villa at the moment.
I just cannot see Villa appointing anyone that will give me optimism, it will be someone dull and desperate and Randy will give some underwhelming reason as to why it's such a good appointment.(like the Fergie letter for McLeish)

At this point, even Sir Tom Jones (The Voice tm) would get my vote.

I just don't want The Villa to settle for mediocrity.

Id much prefer to give it to jessie j!

No chance!
How do you feel about Englebert Humperdinck?

Sir Paul McCartney is spoken for, I believe.  My money's on P.William doing an intervention and getting us Will.i.am.

He renegotiated his contract to remove the clause this season and pledged to stay. He isn't coming. Get over it people.

In all honesty I'd love that and I do see how it could be the case, if he wanted to see out the last 2 games before the break without pissing the fans off surely a mutual press release from us and him that's it's not going to happen would be the best bet.

I think it's highly, highly unlikely though.

Not the inspiring choice we would all hope for, but would be an improvement on McLeish in my opinion.

I'm still not ruling out AVB. The job offers are running out for him. He'd love it at Villa Park. The only problem I see is his agent thinking he's better than he is. He's good but not that good. Porto runs itself, they almost don't need a coach, their president has been running the club (and team) successfully for 35 years.

Whatever that magic powder was that was sprinkled on us last Thursday night, we need more of it.

But you would be better served with Poyet given a chance

What I cannot work out is how this all played out from the various stories that are out there. Now either Solskjaer was clearly the first choice and the board had decided they wanted him, which begs the question why didn't they offer him the job? Or he was one of several 'exciting' candidates in which case we should be well down the road with those candidates now. However it appears like not a lot is going on, unless they've been able to keep it unbelievably quiet. It's all very odd.

Too true, and probably explains me still hankering after the Scandinavian. I think they must have at least sounded out avb.

Not FSW please. I would have rather have given McLeish more time than him.

Really?  Come off it.
I wouldn't want either is my point.
