Holloway is a match for us, as for his comments when we were sniffing around Adams he was looking after his own. He knows his own mind, doesn't look for someone else to blame and if we bought into this guy he would bleed claret and blue.

You all talk tactics until your gums bleed but there is a thing to be said for a perfect match.

He could be a holte end legend.

But as I read endless posts on here you all know a lot more than me.

Holt end boy for the last 25 years.

I quite agree with you

Protecting your own? Fine

Calling Aston Villa a half arsed club that used to be famous? Not fine and saying were not good enough for Adam is insulting considering he isn't good enough for liverpoo either

Listening to TalkShite earlier and they were saying Holloway would be the perfect match for Villa in terms of being a good footballing manager and putting some much needed character and personality back into the club. As much as I dont like to admit it, he is alively personality and could be just what we need right now...even if he is a gobshite!

From what I have heard, Chris Hughton is nailed on for Baggies, and I would be surprised if Chelski dont offer Di Matteo the job after bringing home the holy grail.

I dunno. Holloway is like Maradona. Plays batshit nutty attacking football and its a loud mouth prat who is very entertaining.

The difference is Maradona hasnt dissed our club, in fact he publicly said he would love to manage us.

El Diego - IN!

What he said was totally unprofessional. He liked the sound of his own voice in the Premiership. No-one gives a shit what he says down in the Championship.

Holloway is a good choice in my opinion and we could all piss ourselves at his pre-match interview, then watch us demolish everybody in sight.

I quite like Holloway. Quirky, strange egg.  I'd prefer Martinez or Lambert but I wouldn't be too upset with Holloway.

I wonder if Lambert is playing hard to get because the OGS thing broke early.  Sulking?

Oh take pride ermmmmmmmm ok , well lets take my years of season ticket money and the generations of villa fans in my family to one side .......... Lets keep banging our chests about pride .......... bollocks , how about lets be open minded and modern in our thinking. Can someone let me know if my message got back to 1985 and has reached Phil. Thanks

If Holloway is such a great manager, why did he get relegated? And then fail to be promoted?

Even after you've overlooked everything else about him - say, the fact that he looks like a jacket potato - the fact remains that he an unsuccessful football manager.

Maybe it makes me a set-in-my-ways dinosaur, but I don't rate him. Sorry.

Has anybody mentioned the second coming of Dr Venglos. Just asking as every other name has been mentioned! FFS! No-one knows apart from Lerner and Faulkner who is in the frame and that is the way it will stay until they decide otherwise. The bookies are making a fortune out of our guess work and i cannot stand bookies, robbing gits.

The only advantage to Holloway would be the amount of chances Bent would get per game. Besides, i hate that long black coat he wears on the touchline.,

He is an ok manager, and I think he would do ok, but there is not point at all appointing a manager the fans are not approving of this time. It has to be someone that the fans can cope with, and Holloway won't get that.
