At this point I don't think we are going to get anyone in the poll above. Our stock has absolutely plummeted. No ones going to leave the stability of their previous club to sort out our mess. We are going to end up unhappy and with a really crap manager. The likes of Holloway, McCoist, Phil Brown.. that's who we'll end up with.

No ambition to find a proper manager.. just the hope we can coast along and be 'okay' for the next few years.

It's not going to get any better for the B6.

That's the spirit. Give up all hope even though the process has barely started.

Newcastle 6 Villa 0 to Kmac sorry he has hit his ceiling.
I still think we'd win more games with Mac and Sid running things, that McCarthy, or McLeish for that matter. Ideal world though, we'll get one of our preferred choices and won't have to worry about it.

I think we'd be relegated with that pair in charge.

I doubt we'd be relegated, but i'm far from convinced that we'd ever be anything but mid-table under them.

If Ralf Rangnick wants the Albion, he would take the villa. Should be in like a shot with his record.

Most of the players want kmac because hes friendly with them , they see him as a nice guy , not the sort to clear them out, the games against newcastle , everton and stoke under him were dreadful, everton battered us and lost 1-0 and newcastle battered us 6-0, and thats with players supposedly wanting him to get the job at the time.

We need a new broome in the place and the club needs a lift , i dont see kmac as that man , good in the job he holds but not a premier manager in my view. I think we would struggle badly if he was in charge.

I quite agree that we do need a new direction and Kmac would'nt be my choice either but to say he'd probably relegate us is unfair. Ironically, if we had'nt picked up those 6 points out of the first 3 games before Houiller came in, we might have been in trouble.

nah, its like i said before AM got the boot. We're gonna struggle to attract Lambert or Rodgers unless we offer them more chance than they have now. Why be skint at Villa and get hammered if you struggle, when you can be skint at Swansea/Norwich and be praised? My hope was the transfer purse strings would be opened but it doesn't look like it so far. They may be ambitious but they want a decent chance to be a success as well.

We have no idea what funds are available. At our most skint we spent 20 million last summer, I reckon we would give the new man a minimum of 20 million again this with how weak we are and where we finished.

yeah but we didn't really did we...
Yes, we did! Badlly, but the money was spent.
With the wage bill unravelling a little - and perhaps with the sale of Bent or Agbonlahor - there will be money for the new guy; more so than available to the managers of Swansea, Wigan and Norwich, I suspect. But it won't be Citeh-esque spending!

The question is: who will be spending it?

Am I missing something with Rangnick? As far as I can tell his main thing is to not win anything apart from promotion and to get sacked for crap results?

Maybe, I thought his win percentage was fairly good though. You might be right. Will research further.

And what is that exactly? Bit of a journeyman for me.

This Rangnick's starting to seem like a great candidate, he's never had a win percentage less then 42%.

He's also nicknamed the 'Football Professor' which sounds promising.

Must admit to not knowing a lot about him but it seems a lot of those wins are in the lower leagues.

Could say the exact same thing about Lambert.
