Any past losing Managers who have come across as personable to Lerner, could be up for the role.

That was one of the reasons Mc£eish got appointed

Could be Gary Mabbutt then, they reckon he's the nicest man in football !

True, but there haven't been too many losing managers at VP over the last season have there?

I think another annoying thing is we are now back to being linked with similar targets to Liverpool. So its gonna seem like we'll have to wait to see what they do before we can. At least with OGS (as far as we know) he wasnt a target of theirs...

Anyone know anything on Domingos Paciencia? Style of play? Does he even speak English?

He did very well for a season with Braga before moving to Sporting Clube de Portugal. He didn't last the season, sacked for lack of leadership/poor communication skills, crap football and lack of physical preparation of the squad.

Does he speak English? He bloody struggles in Portuguese so I doubt his English is up to much. Cracking player in his day though.

Ahh ok doesnt look good. Thanks for the info though dude hehe

Rodgers not on anyone's radar then? - he may have turned down the ''The Mighty Reds YNWA' opportunity but does that rule him out of our little beauty parade?

nah, its like i said before AM got the boot. We're gonna struggle to attract Lambert or Rodgers unless we offer them more chance than they have now. Why be skint at Villa and get hammered if you struggle, when you can be skint at Swansea/Norwich and be praised? My hope was the transfer purse strings would be opened but it doesn't look like it so far. They may be ambitious but they want a decent chance to be a success as well.

Rodgers isn't going anywhere as he has recently signed a 3 yr contract and I can't see Randy splashing out millions in compo again even if Rodgers did want to come (which I don't believe he does for one minute).

We have no idea what funds are available. At our most skint we spent 20 million last summer, I reckon we would give the new man a minimum of 20 million again this with how weak we are and where we finished.

yeah but we didn't really did we. we spent 20m and lerner pocketed 20m from the sales of young and Downing. Unless we sell someone i doubt they'll be 20m this year

Can someone please reset the poll and remove the Norwegian?

I wanted Lambert initially but even if we get him, which I doubt, I will be disappointed.

well its gone somewhere whether on keeping us afloat or on paying back the loans. Last summer the entire transfer budget was funded by sales. Who do we sell this year?
