Anyone with doubts click on the documentary link from ozz on page 288 - very good viewing and seems a good fit for us- no doubt he will take the job and i wish him well.

It would seem even more of a risk if he's not coming in under a DoF, but it looks like he has a sizable team working with him.

I think one of his main benefits is that he knows the importance of surrounding himself with the right people.

What is the general perception of what he's doing there Eig?

Is he seen as an innovator, someone with that spark about him that makes things happen?
Or -as an earlier poster mentioned-  has his success at Molde had more to do with money?

It's difficult to seperate the one from the other; on the one hand he did have a lot of money, on the other he transformed Molde from a hapless mid-table side to a side that confidently expected to win the league and proceeded to do so.

He couldn't have done it without the money, but it was nevertheless remarkable that it happened so quickly and by someone who had very little experience. (The Norwegian league is regarded as a significant step up from the English reserve league.)

It does suggest that he has a lot of potential.

If we all get behind him 100% it will put pressure on the players. They knew that if they didn't give 100% under AM it would be him that carried the can for their shit performances rather than get the stick they deserved .

Just finished watching it. 46 minutes well spent. I like him - a lot. He wants to manage over here, and he's got a great football brain and it looks like he's a great coach and manager. Seems the type to put a lot of work into the details.

Are people suggesting John Gregory was a success now? I thought spunking loads of money on players with no sell-on value, finishing 6th and losing in cup finals was viewed as a capital offence these days.

Compared to GT mark II, O'Leary, Houllier and McLeish he was a success. If you like, our second most successful manager in the past 14 years.

Compared to Billy McNeill, McLeish was a success. Means nothing if it results in no end product.

watch the youtube link. I am v impressed and now intrigued / interested. Give him a go I say! He will play the way he was coached and will bring exciting times and a change in the dour football we've witnessed for 3 years!

Why do some Villa fans think we are owed a big name manager? Jog on and give this geezer a chance....................I have a good feeling for the first time since I got fisted in a Parsien brothel.

"This story has been taken down as it breached an embargo"

What does this mean? Is that good?

Story taken down due to a press embargo. Will be up at 11.00

Anyone know what this could mean? I mean I know what an embargo means, but is it done?

So Liverpool are going to request to talk to several managers.. and then turn all but one down. I'm sure the chairmen around England will love that.
