All the Mccarthy stuff is coming from Mick's agent, just like a player getting interest drummed up, being linked to a job like Villa is good for his profile. No way it will happen.

he's 2/1 at the bookies, thats no joke

i dont think we are interested in him, but there is more to it than just his agent, and we have had some contact with him according to some journo's.

Not ALL of it.

I'm sure it is.

The Guardian normally has a decent steer on things, and they reckon there's no chance of McCarthy.

Mick's agent contacted Villa. That's all it is.

Actually he contacted the ticket office.
He's buying a season ticket as he heard we were getting a vibrant new manager and wants to see some decent football.

Trouble is i bet they thought there was no chance of Mcleish either. anything is possible with this board.

This is like being stuck in a lift with Peter Kay, Jasper Carrot and Roy 'Chubby' Brown.
A fart in a lift is wrong on so many levels!

Preferable to what we face here though!

We need someone young, fresh and pro-active. Someone who will deliver attacking football and be ambitious no matter our transfer budget.
Walter Smith?

Ah, I'd forgotten this feeling. The excited anticipation of a new manager coming in, gradually wearing off as a succession of unsuitable candidates are discussed...

Behave you lot, it would be financial disaster for Lerner to get this appointment wrong, tell MMs agent he must be dreaming.
