OK....
Dreamland AVB with a remit to rebuild the club, van Gaal or Moyes.
Realism I'd be happy with Martinez or Lambert or the "take a top flight punt" option with Poyet (maybe with Wilkins on board somehow?)

I like Martinez but not as Villa manager.  I know its been said many times before his stock is over rated.  The question I can't ignore is that why cant he motivate a team to play for the season rather than the last 6 games?  To me there is seriously something wrong there.

Not sure why either there is massive support for Lambert and Rodgers.  They've done well but its been a piss poor premier league quality wise from 10th downwards this season.  They've done nothing that really warrants all the support.  How deep are their scouting networks? Being used to shopping in Aldi means their knowledge and networks are there.  I don't think we can expect to shop at Waitrose but Sainsbury's surely must be a target!  They are too young and inexperienced to restructure top to bottom which needs to happen at Villa.  I would have liked to have seen what Houlier could have done with a little more time/better ticker as he understood what needed to happen and started to do it.  Pissed off a few senior players on the way but quite frankly those were players we needed to (still do) get rid of anyway.  He wasnt stupid.

Gaal, Boas for me.

Forgot to mention...Bilic (isn't he available this summer?)

I just asked sky bet for a price on Joachim Loew and he is now on there @ 14/1. Was expecting a far bigger price than that.

He'd be a great appointment, and would fit in with needing to wait for him as I believe he's leaving after the Euros. Can't see it happening though.

If Wigan had Darren Bent up top this season instead of Di Santo or Sammon do you guys really think they'd of been as bad in the early part of the season? Yeah those are the players Martinez signed. But lets be honest what kind of good quality player would want to join Wigan anyway as apposed to EVERYONE else in the Premier League? They have like 100 fans in away games ffs!

In the early part of the season Wigan were battering sides and losing having not put the ball away. I think with the chances his style of football creates, we would be pretty good.

Brendan Rodgers would be a good alternative to Martinez as he has no 'baggage'.

Exacly Bent up top, Nzogbia on the right, Ireland slipping balls though and new LW with a Martinez team. Sounds pretty darn good to me.

Agree.
I think we'd need someone with a bit of Ron Saunders about them too. Any sign of descent (Collins, Dunne etc) Doesn't matter how good you are (Gray, Gidman) F**k them off.

It is between Martinez, drifting 6/4 now, and Lambert into 7/4. Brendan Rodgers has fallen to 8-1 in places but you can still get 14-1. Loew is 25-1 with Wm Hills. Don't see many other offers.

If the rumours are correct, King Kenny might have just become available.  Anyone?

N'Nogbia 2 goals all season, Ireland 1 goal all season........these guys are not players to build the team around, they just ain't good enough no matter who is manager.

I still think that this is a chance. 33-1.

Out of the frying pan into another identical frying pan. I think not.
