Any of the losing Championship play-off managers will fit Lerner's needs.  Ambitious & hungry.

Holloway or Mackay - yes please.  Allardyce - no thanks.

Hughton - a good manger, but once bitten...

Well we can scratch Uncle Woy off the list, he's shortlisted for the England job. No call to Droopy.

I like the look of Paul Lambert, he has a touch of the MON's about him.  I wouldn't say no to Martinez as well, has an eye for a player and could do well at a bigger club with better resources (resources? What resources?).  Hopefully Randy will back either of them in the transfer market.

2. (pretty happy) Martinez

I think Wigan's current form is masking the fact that for large swathes of the season, they have been utter shit.

Collymore just put on Twitter a rumour that McLeish is the favourite to take over from Woy at the Baggies if he gets the England job.  Ha Ha will serve them right if he gets the job with that banner they had yesterday.

Really wouldn't want Holloway.

Favour the link to Lambert.

I fear the stitches and staples in my stomach will rip open as my sides split should that happen.

why not Holloway,
bright atractive attacking football, stands up for whatever club he's at, doesnt talk absolute bullshit all the time with manager soundbites, has a good record with teams with a low budget

yes he is a big mouth, but i quite like that, i loved big Ron, rather that than a mealy mouthed Hughes

Hopefully Woy gets the England job, it'll piss that rubbery faced twat at Tottenham off no end.  Crooked bastard (allegedly).  Woy has always been dignified with everything that he's done in football and is a very good tactician. Redcrapp is just a money yielding club wrecker.  Hopefully Tottenham finish 6th.

Lambert, Martinez for me.  David Moyes would be my number one choice but I think he could end up at Man United or Chelsea at some point.

One name that is missing who was a big favourite last time is Mr X. Pretty sure Matt Kendrick was convinced he was coming here. Did he turn us down or is he stilll available?

I was all in support of Martinez for us last season before RL's "appointment".
If they are so brilliant all of a sudden why haven't they been for the previous 30 games?

TBH I think I'd still go with him. Anybody with some remote football nous would be better than what we've had this season.

That would be just fantastic.

Could not believe there was an article in the Sun last Thursday about potential replacements for Agent Orange, and Chris Hughton was mentioned, now i presume this is some twat at their sport desk just playing devils advocate, he`s Impressed so far with Blues but whats that phrase about forgetting your history and being condemned to re-live it.

Almost every Villa fan I know actually uses the example of Hughton's potential appointment as proof that we don't care about the Blues connection. I'm glad the guy in the Sun brought up Hughton, as if he were at any other club than Blues he would also be a candidate. Good on the guy in the Sun for not subscribing to the bullshit myth about our apparent prejudice against McLeish because of his Blues connection.
Totally agree that it shouldn`t be a factor but for a significant number of Villa fans, it was, it is, and it always will be.

I keep saying this but, is Heskey unpopular because he played for that lot or because he is very poor value for his wages?
