Also think the Benteke deal is dead and don't expect much in the way of a marquee signing this time around.  Looks like we're going to have to rely on the kids again and hope that the older guard stay fit.

We obviously have at least £7m to spend, so wouldnt agree with you there.

The Dempsey bid sounds suspiciously like Doug Ellis's Frank Lampard bid.

Allegedly, Lampard turned us down because he thought Villa Park was cursed, due to the fact that he'd got injured every time he played here.

It was cursed last season too .

What happened to selling Warnock and Hutton?
It'll take on hell of a salesman to move those two on.

It could be a challenge for the teams on the next series of the Apprentice

Sky just mentioned Frankel on breaking news !!

He sounds bloody good , is he a Belgium striker or a German one . sign him now please PL ;)
Sorry not a striker, just a fairly nippy winger. One good thing about him is he can kick with all four feet and he's hard to knock off the ball.

sounds like Heskey ;)

Has every H&V member taken the day of work today ?
Bloody hell, there is some keyboard action going on.
Is the country going into melt down because those that are at work are not doing anything apart from looking at the transfer market ?
Just asking like.
You need to be able to type 30000 words a second at the moment to get a post on here !!

did you see all the scousers outside the liverpool training ground behind the Sky reporter.    At least the cars in the City should be safe today.

Who the cowing hell is Wilfred Bony?

Fair play to Lambert, at least he's casting his net farther and wider than past managers. It's quite refreshing actually.

I reckon the Dempsey to Liverpool deal is done. They need someone in now they've let Carroll, Spearing and Adam go.
Ivory Coast striker who plays for some club called Vitesse. Basically there was an agreement that we would have him on loan for a season with the option to sign him, now they changed it at the last minute to "buy only" with no loan available which makes no sense for them. Daft dutch dickheads.

He looked good on you tube . I know Hargreaves did too but I thought he had excellent control with the ball and his goal ratio was good.

Transfer deadline day is annoying.
Especially when players and clubs are screwing you over making it harder to sign players you really need.

Nothing has gone our way so far today :( well we did sign Bowery...

Cant sell him on for a profit in a few years so doubt it

Hans Krankl was an an offer of a trial, and didn't happen on Ellis' watch. He was holder of the golden boot at the time.

Frank Lampard was unhappy with the size of the mirrors in the dressing room and wanted his own marqee erected where the club shop now stands. Ellis claims to this day that he coined the phrase 'marquee signing'.

Le ciel est bleu et la souris est sur la table.

I hate deadline day.
