It was interesting listening to Sean Dyche this morning on SSN.  He described how fast moving these sorts of stories can be.  Disapointing that we are not getting Dempsey.  I'd like him because he scores goals and is a consistent player.  Hopefully, Vila have their eyes on a plan B of the same sort of player.  He'd link with Darren Bent really well.  The other issue for me is that he's similar in his play to Ireland.  Does this mean that Ireland is offski?

I reckon wehat happened was we bid yesterday and found out he wasn't interested in coming here as he wanted to go to Liverpool.  Fulham then leaked it to try and force Liverpool into bidding.  That's probably why Lambert was a caught out a bit when asked about it as he thought it was dead, which it is other than being used by Fulham.
