Andy Carroll or Weimann/Delfouneso?

I know what my choice would be. We need more experienced quality. Quite badly to be honest. There's the makings of a good side with the right additions in key areas.
We'll be scrapping down the wrong end without further additions. I would hope after a scare two years ago and a major one last season, Randy would stop playing such a dangerous game. Hand in pocket time.

It makes sense to leverage the money the scousers owe us to the max.  Adam and Carroll would provide creativity and a cutting edge.  I think the problem would then be finding someone to deliver the service.  The one thing that was obvious on Saturday was the lack of width coupled with inexperienced full backs not willing to overlap as often as they could plus Nzogbia constantly driving in off the wing.

There would be too much animosity for Downing to come back to VP and in all honesty I'd much rather have Johnson or Phillips from Blackpool.

We are very much still a work in progress and Saturday helped to highlight the issues.  Im praying that we have already started negotiating to bring in some experience and creativity otherwise it may well be a difficult season albeit much better football but still unable to get points on the board.

I would then be concerned about defective product and not fit for purpose counterclaim. In fact I am surprised Liverpool have not sent him back for a refund.

There is zero chance of Carroll coming here. I'd take him in a heartbeat though.

Carroll and Adam Johnson I thought that meant, that really would get me excited, throw in a left back and get rid of Hutton, Warnock and Makoun and I'd be on cloud 9, can't see it happening though.  Those saying we need wingers to support Carroll, we have 2 in N'Zogbia and Albrighton and Gabby, Holman and Bannan can create from out wide too and Ireland/El Ahmadi from the middle of the park so he shouldn't be starved of service.

Lowton does this very well and has a good delivery, I am assuming he is looking for similar in a left back. I still think it will be Naughton.

Why?

On anything close to form he can give us what we're sorely lacking at the moment -pace, decent delivery from wide and can cut in and force saves from the keeper. In fact, even out of form, he was/is still capable of that one match altering delivery or piece of magic.

At present, we look a bit WBA under Mowbray - happy to keep the ball in non threatening areas. 

The manner of his departure left a sour taste in the mouth, but that is pretty much The Game. Agent whispers sweet nothing's in a players ear= player gets ideas way above his station.

Of course they do. Clubs hardly ever pay for players all up front in one lump sum.

I thought Lowton was defensively sound on Saturday, but his final ball was consistently dreadful.

It's only one game, obviously, but if he's relying on that, hopefully Saturday was just a bad / tough day at the office for him.

We must have been watching a different game then because I thought he looked very good going forward. Played some lovely one-two's and got good whip and pace on his crosses. Nobody was in the box to head the ball but he looked very promising to me.

Ngobia out and Johnson and Carroll in , we would finish 7th/8th/9th instead of bottom half.         Hopefully Gabby will have a great season , If hes the same as last season  by January , then let MON have it for 8 million and get some Carroll money back .
