To be fair to Wolves, they are probably comparing him to Carroll's valuation. Fletcher £15m, Carroll £17m, neither are worth that.

I just read that Boro have signed left-back George Friend from Doncaster.

Perhaps a replacement for Joe Bennett?

£12m - £15m for 12 goal a season player - MON is like some housewife who just loves spunking away her rich husbands money... until it runs out and she leaves him for another rich guy willing to let her spend off his money....

If they're gonna pay that much they might as well make the Carroll saga more interesting and offer him a deal to go back to the North East.

I don't remember anyone complaining at the time though, Damon.
My biggest thing was the fact we got into Europe, then he wasted it by playing a weakened team.
The next was he bought the players, then didn't give them a fair crack.

I remember plenty of people questioning the money paid for the likes of harewood, beye and heskey, for instance, not to mention the money paid for Luke Young when we could have got him for around half the price the previous summer.
