I keep saying it but just go and sign Keane for the rest of the season.

Yeah everyone keeps saying that but it isn't going to happen really is it?

It depends whether a deal can be reached with LA Galaxy. After all they have previous with Beckham and unlike him, Keane is definitely going to the summer tournament as a player.

On the positive, we are back in it, that said this is the first time I have seen Newcastle for a full game and have to say, how they are where they are defies logic, slow, ponderous, you name it, had Bent been up to it we would have been ahead without doubt.

2nd half to come, a point would be a great result, a win is possible also.

Just seen highlights of our goal again. Very good ball from Petrov to find Keane fast when we won the ball on the halfway line. Maybe the sideways tag will be put away now.
Petrov has been forward-thinking all season, since Herd and then Clark took over the defensive duties.
As ever, Petrov is massively under-rated by many. He's played well throughout the first half.

That's because he's got somebody showing for the ball in front of him. Nobody else in the team does that, when Keane goes you can't imagine Heskey showing for the ball in the hole.

They are missing Tiote.

Bannan on for IReland? Clearly an injury. Now's your chance Barry, make sure you take it because when Keane goes back, Ireland may well be moved to Keanes position.

Please Villa, don't concede a goal in the first few minutes of this half
