WM is really good.

On this mornings breakfast show they had an 8 minute feature on an 18 year old bloke from Cannock who had cycled from Burntwood to Cannock with an ironing board (that he had found by the side of the road) on his back.  They were actually in his home doing this pivotal interview.

Stating the bleeding obvious here but why don't people just stop listening to Radio WM? I'm lucky as I am not even tempted as I live in Bedfordshire but I took the decision to boycott Talksport about two years ago. I can only imagine that this type of bottom of the barrel sport reporting deliberately incites supporters so that they ring in- perhaps there is a correlation between advertising fees and being able to prove listener figures?

Seems to me that the anger towards such poor broadcasting only serves to act as oxygen to keep the fire going, starve them of it and I am sure they will disappear.

I never tune in to WM at home at any time of the day or week, but very often my drive home coincides with the football phone-in. Unlike some, I like the "so bad it's good" aspect, and despite the seemingly lack of support for our club I find the basic level of broadcasting quite funny, particularly with the same repetitive cycle of regular banal callers who don't help to raise the standard one iota. I even have a little cheer to myself when Dennis phones in.

The very point I have made a couple of times.
Don't listen to them, don't read the Birmingham Mail or it's click links.
It makes for a happier life ;D

There is quite a difference, we (or most of us anyway) pay for the BBC so have a vested interest in it's output and that includes WM. Having said that, I hardly listen these days but that's not say I don't care about the quality. I expect the majority of commercial radio to be shit, and am rarely dissapointed but without getting too "points of view" I expect better from the BBC particularly locally. With the resources at their disposal, to produce Radio that sounds as bad as WM does at the moment is unforgiveable.

I don't think think us paying for it is particularly important - we pay for all media one way or another - but the BBC has a duty to broadcast quality, not go the way of commercial shock jockism.

Wanksey could do with going out on loan, to another planet preferably.

Already saying we had a "dodgy" penalty. Always has to focus on the negative. No mention of a hat-trick man!

Eh? Why and who is giving Traore stick? On the basis that he's too good so he must be cheating...or that he thinks its his one man mission to take on the whole of the opposition team before getting into the penalty area?
