When exactly is "Tumbling Bears" contract up ?
I'm presuming it finishes up at the end of July. I think we are safe enough that he is not going to get another from us so can we get a clock up here counting down the days ?
I would like the situation to finish up with SSN going over live to Pete Colley at Villa Park just in time for the  first fireworks of the all night party .

Big Eck was making dangerous noises about keeping him on earlier in the season.  And he does seem to talk him up and really rate him for some unfathomable reason.

But hopefully he'll see sense come the summer.  Or if not, the decision will be taken out of his hands. I'll be with you Ger, cracking out the party hat and poppers.

I think that's more to trying to build up the bloke's confidence. Heskey will be gone in the summer.

I bloody hope so.  I will then set about trying to wipe the memory of his ever playing for Villa just like I did with John Fashasomebody.

I actually liked Fash the bash - in a 'he's clearly shit but he tries' type of way.

I know that should be something I should maybe keep quiet about.

By the time he came to us, he was at least a yard off the pace. He was also in semi retirement mode, I think the move to us appealed so he could be closer where they filmed that God awful Gladiators.  Awooga!

But he'd at least bash opposition centre backs up a bit, and did score a few useful goals in his short stint with us.

My heart sinks when I see Heskey come on or -worse-  see him named in the starting line up ahead of Bannan, Ireland, the Fonz and just about any other competent footballer we have on the books.

His salary alone makes him worth getting rid of ASAP. I'm sure he's a lovely bloke, but he's done very little for us other than bamboozle managers into playing him.

When you think come June we'll have paid him close to £11m, you do have to ask whether Randy has a point or not.
