Kenny is being pretty disrespectful there in my opinion and it is that type of talk that shows where the club's problems are.  They think they are bigger and better than they are.  Of course they had an incredible run between '65-early noughties, but they have been in a steady decline since.  The business with Adidas stating Liverpool were overpricing themselves would suggest that this affliction runs fairly deep at Liverpool.

At least at Villa Downing was able to have a genuine crack at the top four.  At least at Villa he played in a genuinely superb stadium.  He's probably arrived at Anfield and realised that all the media nonsense about the club is nothing more than hot air.  Twenty million was a magnificent piece of business for Villa, Kenny - Liverpool supporters know it and I reckon you know it too.
