Taking "Z" to the Liverpool game
« on: December 07, 2011, 09:46:53 PM »
First post here so don't know if it's in the correct place, if not my apologies.

My idea is for everyone attending the Liverpool game to take a lett "z" on a piece of paper to show how boring the football we are watching is. I feel this idea is more viable than a boycott and better than a protest.

Thoughts?

how about shouting "Come on you villa boys"? or something like that. You might as well, you're sitting there right?

It might be better to take a collection of Z's say maybe three for example, Zzz. They could all go on the same piece of paper, no need for three seperate ones.
I feel a single Z maybe be misconstrued as a homage to the ever popular 60's/70's  Merseyside drama serial Z Cars, whose theme tune is obviously the walk out song for Red scouses bitter rivals Everton.

Why not just wear Liverpool scarves and be done with it?

I remember the days when if we went a goal down the supporters would turn the volume up and get behind the team.
I know I'll probably get the "I pay my money, I can do what I like" brigade on my back. I haven't a problem with people moaning after a game or even before a game, but during the game we should be one voice supporting the team come what may.

You could turn the sign on it side to make an 'N' too. Put an N next to a Z and it will look like a tribute to our ever-popular French winger. Could we arrange for a batch of apostrophes to be brought to the game too?

Everyone bring a different letter, we can play Scrabble if it gets boring.
