Actually just to add to this the sex with Lady Gaga, that wouldn't be so bad really. something strangely beguiling about that woman.

Probably the most disturbing post i've ever read on here. As for the woman bit....are you sure?

Have we not got any decent young central midfielders in the ranks who can get their foot it and have a bit of physical presence? Call me crazy but it's actually a shame we sold Hogg. Not a great player but a grafter and someone who quite effectively unsettled the opposition. Gary Gardner should start playing too, but he's not a defensive midfielder by any stretch. Delph I just don't see what he offers. He'd be better as a more attack minded midfielder.

God, why the hell did we let Nigel go? Letting Makoun go was foolish too. We didn't particularly see evidence he could tackle in the few times we saw him, but he's played DMF for Lyon and his country, so I assume he could do a job there, or at least more so than Delph, Ireland and Bannan who all blown over in a light breeze, or Stan who can't last 60 minutes.

Personally I'd get a bit of presence in our midfield, and play 3 in the mid. Have two solid players and one of our flair (if you can call them that) players a little more advanced.

Gardner.       Clark

Jenas in for Gardner when he's fit.

At Heroes and Villains, meanwhile, contributors are lining up to predict a home win, with some fearing a real drubbing.

I wonder, though, if it's a bit premature to be thinking of the Rangers as genuinely tough opposition. This comes, after all, in the wake of just two performances good enough to attract warm praise. So while it's tempting as a QPR supporter to get carried away by the current mood of excitement, I do still keep in mind that the Tony Fernandes revolution is at a very early stage. I wonder, too, about the effect of opponents sitting up and taking notice in the wake of recent good results,  now not making the mistake of underestimating Neil Warnock's side. I also worry a little about the impact of any unhelpful combination of injuries. QPR, for me, now have a decent Premier League team. But a strong squad? How much top talent is sitting on the bench or playing in the reserves for QPR? Not enough, perhaps.

I also wonder if Villa supporters, though perhaps justifiably disappointed by their club's approach to the transfer market, are making too much of a slow start. While I wouldn't tip Villa to be in the running for a top six or seven finish, I daresay they won't flirt for long with the lowest reaches of the table. My sense is that Sunday's opponents are of mid-table quality. Given that right-thinking QPR fans would surely be delighted with a mid-table finish, perhaps the visitors' followers are paying a newly assembled Rangers side too much respect when predicting a thrashing at the hands of the Londoners.

Guaranteed that if Bent and Zog play tomorrow they will both have blinders as I dropped them from my dream team last night.

Bent is already ruled out isn't he?

Looking forward to tomorrow, last time i went there, we won 1-0, Yorke scoring ours, god knows what year it was though.

I'd like the win obviously, but i'd be happy with a point, providing we create a few more chances than we have of late.

Who'd have thought this time last year we were 69% sure we're going to get beat and beaten well by QPR in a league game?

;) If I'd had said to you this time last year Alex Mcliesh will leave the noses and be managing us and we will pay millions for the privilege, you'd have had me banned, castrated and made me have gratuitous sex with Lady Gaga for 24 hours...

I thought my mind worked in mysterious ways...

The last time I saw the Villa play at QPR, Nigel Spink was playing up front.

Indeed - the problem being that we do not seem to have enough fit CMF to field.
We certainly ought to be looking at 4-5-1 tomorrow with, presuming Bent is unfit, Gabby up top and Petrov, Delph, Bannan, N'Zog and one other across the middle. Who should / can be the fifth man, though?
I agree that getting rid of Hogg seems a little premature to me.

This is so true, I got rid of Bale and Ba in the week, 4 goals between the ****** today.

Hopefully we can capitalise on most of our soon-to-be relegation rivals losing today....

I'm not overly optimistic on the basis that we generally don't seem to do well playing away to newly-promoted teams, but with Bent out and fingers crossed that N'Zzzzzogbia oversleeps and misses the bus we might at least have 11 players on the pitch prepared to work for the cause.

For this one I'd put Clark at left back and play Warnock left mid, with Gabby a lone striker supported by Bannan.

Unlike like the post above though, I definitely feel we'll need a keeper!
