He wasn't physical enough for England. You see it all the time. Set pieces are different, even more so now.

Has great reflexes though and not surprised to see him doing well elsewhere. That Leicester at home performance is up there with the very best by a Villa keeper. The gasp around the ground when the Maddison(?) save flashed up on the big screen 🤤

Have very little memory of the Semis against Leicester. Did Trezeguet score?

I think the 5-5 was Nyland's worst game, though the defence was awful as well.

I recall a certain Matthew Cash scoring and celebrating at the Holte End in the first half.

He was young, he needed the money!

I think Guilbert gave us the lead at their ground and it finished 1-1. IIRC we won 2-1 at home with a very late Trez winner but not sure who gave us the lead or equalised for them. Probably Vardy.

Targett for us and Iheanacho for them.

Ta. Sure he was another of those players that only ever seemed to score against us.

I remember the amount of our supporters who wanted us to lose because it was a distraction. Then who said we were going to lose the final by a record score. In the end we were half a post away from winning a trophy.

The header would have made it 2-2.

Yeah, but we would have gone on to win, as we were a force for good, unlike our opponents.

Cole Ramsey has signed for Spurs. Not sure if this has been mentioned elsewhere here.

Really? I assumed we had released him cos he's not up to it. We couldn't thrive with any of the Ramseys  :(

That would be very saddening, given he was once feted as the best of three.

Trez won his 100th cap in that chaos

We did release him I think so I guess they have seen something in him that we didn't.
