Matt Tergett's been  released by Newcastle, his contract expired.
Spent last season on loan at Boro.

Feels like exactly the sort of player that Hull bring in on a free to give him a last go at the Premier League and them a bit of useful experience.

He's only 30, so has a few years left in him yet, and can definitely play for a lower-mid-table premier league side.  I'm surprised Newcastle let his contract run down to nothing - did they try and sell him last summer and have no takers?

Wikipedia lists Guessand as a Palace player too, in the World Cup squads.

Malen is already gone as Villa will never own his registration again. Guessand will be a Villa player at the end of the month unless we agree a deal in the meantime.

Still Villa according to Transfermarkt but the conditions for the sale have been met so the transfer is definitely happening. Google says Italian transfer window opens on 29th June so it'll be then, I imagine.

Think the best way to establish whether he's a Villa player or not is if Netherlands get an important penalty. Miss it, and he's obviously Villa. Score it and he can't be.

If he looks completely confused and says "what's a penalty?", he's definitely still Villa.
