If we see this out and the favourites win their quarters, we'll be up against a bizarre CB partnership of Thiago Silva and mediocre loanee Jan Bednarek for Porto in the semis.

I bet Paul Winch still kicks himself for not approaching Bednarek in Waitrose that time. Understandable, Jan being physically intimidating.

El Ghazi has won the latest court case over his sacking from Mainz 05.

Millwall in the automatic promotion places. It would be funny if Bannan was promoted after 5-months with Millwall having been loyal to Sheffield Wednesday for so long.

Azaz has really kicked on at Saints whereas Archer has gone backwards.
Azaz has been an asset to every club he's been at, on loan or permanent.

To the extent that you wonder what he coukd have done given a chance with us.

Moussa Diaby got sent off today for kicking a defender full in the balls.

He was being fouled near the sideline and kind of flicks his foot back/back heels the defender straight in the groin. Ref was about to give a yellow but the fourth official and Lino told him otherwise (going on his thumbs up to the two afterwards).

He's 25, and in his prime, stays fit, seems able to mix it physically and performs a valuable function: he connects defence with attack, finds space well, receives the ball cleverly and quickly sees the lay-off / forward pass; and has good feet. He also has a decent shot and set-piece capability. In 30-odd games this season, he has 8 goals and 3 assists.
He'd slot in behind the attack and provide the continuity that we sometimes lack, giving Rogers more space and being more robust than lil' Emi.

Sounds somewhat out of character!

Albert Adomah has become the first player in history to make at least 100 appearances for six different clubs.
