Slightly surprised that Jhon's continued antics have not drawn more attention (and downright schadenfreude) on here.

In addition to being evicted from his home (hadn't we already seen that episode?) he has now innovated by going on strike and refusing to play for anyone but the Special One.

While we reflect on our failure to sell Bailey at the top of his market value, we may yet end up having played a blinder with Big Jhon!

More like Ballotelli everyday. However it seems the first bit (eviction) is nothing to do with him but the landlords disagreement with someone who works / worked with Fenerbache.

I did wonder on the "missing" side but that seems to be one reporter with maybe inside knowledge, maybe not.

Yeah, the first story is nothing to do with him really and the 2nd feels more like shit-stirring than any real insider info.

That's true, for the eviction. But Jhon being Jhon, he will always attract the bad headline rather than the good.

As for his absence from the matchday squad, it does sound rather like he is refusing to play. Although Tedesco, his manager, maintains that it's due to self-reported injury pain, there's lots of talk that there isn't really anything wrong.

Reportedly getting paid €20 million a year, with bonuses and not playing.

Not really much evidence in those articles. Sometimes injured players are just injured, there doesn't have to be a great conspiracy involved each time.

You're quite right, there is zero evidence; though it looks to me like a smoke and fire situation.

Let's see how it plays out – at least we are no longer in the middle of the circus!
