Wonder if any other European Cup winning captains are uncapped? Doubt it.

John McGovern wasn't capped by Scotland.

Also Stevan Stojanović, Red Star goalkeeper in 1991. Only ever played for the Yugoslav Olympic team, in games which aren't recognised as full internationals.

A very good hat-trick.  If he'd gone straight to Ispwich instead of having his year with us, it's the sort of hat-trick that would have had us all screaming "why didn't we activate our buy-back clause?!?"

He's clearly too good for that level, maybe he'll prove himself at Premier league level in another year or two.

I reckon him, Archer and AJ are all at that level of being too good for the championship but not quite ready for the premier league. There's loads of players like it right now, Southampton and Leicester have squads full of them.

I wonder if they'd all flourish with good teams in the top-flight of the Bundesliga or other decent European divisions.
