With his ability in the air I am surprised he is head of anything.

One from the Archives and not in the spirit of the title of this topic, but Libor Kosack finally hung his boots up at the end of the season. Finished playing with the same Czech team that he started with.

Seb Revan will be playing on loan at Burton Albion this season:

It must be depressing to be 22 and know that unless something unlikely happens, you'll need to find another career by 25.

No reason why he can't carry on and make a living far beyond one that most of us will ever experience if he spends the next decade or so playing lower league football.

I thought Revan had a great future ahead of him when I first saw him in our youth team. Just shows that raw talent alone is never enough.

Have a look how many of our Academy graduates are out of football by their mid-twenties.

It is a cruel mistress - getting a pro contract is only the start but a lot of them must feel they have made it at that point.  Makes you realise just how hard they have to work to get to the very top of the game and stay there

I'm sure played, and played well, in our friendly against Lazio two summers ago.

Rudy Gestede now head of football operations at Blackburn I heard in a podcast today.

Probably explains their League Cup exit the other night?
