Evertonians say he hasn't sniffed the squad since their injury situation improved, and in any case has been injured himself.

He was in all of their squads and came on as a sub in his last couple of matches. Then got a stress fracture in his foot, which has kept him out ever since. Nothing to do with their injury situation.

Although in the four matches he started, they lost them all. In the ones he hasn't been in/ barely been on the pitch, they have lost one.

Although what? Somebody asked where he was. He's injured. End of story.

Also pleased for Finn Azaz - he's been an asset for every team he's been loaned to and was a credit to the club in the time he was with us, I thought.

He's always been my favourite Israeli-Irish player.

He went to King Edwards where he achieved 9 A*s at GCSE, so clearly a bright enough lad as well.

Yes, I asked originally.

Just pointing out that Eye Digress mentioned he seemed to be dropped to the bench  as others were chosen ahead of him before his injury which you seemed to dismiss. I was just adding the results seem to show Everton have done better without him as well during that time.

I wasn't dismissing anything. Eye digress seemed to imply he wasn't in the squad because thier injury situation had improved. I pointed out that he was in every squad, then broke his foot which is the only reason he's not been in a squad since, as he's still nowhere near being fit.

My bad, you're both right. My Evertonian mates actually said he didn't get a sniff of the first team, which came out of my keyboard as "the squad".

I suppose the broader question is, how is he doing? Well, injury notwithstanding, not brilliantly - which is kinda what you would have expected.

Of the 7 games games he was fit for, he started 4, was on the bench in 3 of which he came on twice. About par for a young player moving to a new club I guess.

Yes, but the trajectory behind the statistics show he was definitely on the wane prior to injury. I think the 4 starts were the first 4 games, which were all defeats, right?

Unusual move, similarly I noticed the other week that Memphis Depay now plays for Corinthians.

100 year old Barry Bannan smacked in a typical Bannan type goal for Sheffield Wednesday as they came back to beat Derby yesterday.

Choinks indeed.

I can’t claim to have seen a lot of Azaz but from what I have seen he looks a very decent cultured player.  I had hoped we would have given him a chance to see how he would do in the Premier.
