Brad Guzan frantically trying to keep out shots from Messi is a surreal watch tonight.

How’s he doing at it?

Fair play to him, he had a brilliant game and did stop Messi. Miami won 2-1 but without Guzan it would have been six or seven.

Benteke.

Seems happy, and talking sense.

Cam nearly equalised - great run from the halfway line and hit the bar with his shot. He's definitely good enough for this league.

Fair play to Azaz, he's been an asset to every team we sent him to.

Azaz got the assist with a good through-ball, didn't he?

Aaron Ramsay - still injured at Boro?

That has been a long one

Get the distinct impression that Aaron is never going to make it in the big time. His sale looks very shrewd right now, albeit at a less inflated price than those practised for reserves this past close season.

Wasn't there a third Ramsey brother or was I imagining that?

When he injured his knee in February, Kompany said he was likely out for all of 2024. It was a serious injury. No idea how he'll come back from it, or what kind of career he'll have, but he didn't get much of a chance at Burnley before the injury.

I disagree. I think he's got real potential. Technically he's excellent, but lacks the physicality of his older brother (thought that might develop in time). Yes, he's only shown that potential at youth and U21 level for us, and in the Championship for boro - but my guess is that if he recovers from his injury well, he'll have a top-flight career.  I don't think you can particularly judge a 20-year-old for not shining in a team that was relegated with 24 points.

I think we got good money for him, but my guess is that he'll be back amongst it for Burnley in the second half of the season, and doing well enough to get interest from a few Prem clubs if they don't get promoted.
