Although Ciaran Clark resisted the Rams cult and has joined Sheffield United on loan, presumably for the season.

He was linked with small heath so that's a bit of a result for him.

Fair play to him. Is he right about things going well for him at Villa up until Lockdown? I don't remember him being involved in our first season back up at all.

He went on loan our first season back, PNE, then Charlton - he never played in the premier league for us.  I think the point he's making is that he was on loan and playing when Covid happened - which stopped all games - then he was released by us so it wasn't a great time to be without a club.

I remember at the time he was released being a bit disappointed, but confident that it was a sign our sights were being set a bit higher in terms of what we expected from our youth products.  Glad he's doing well and building himself a decent career over there.

I knew a school friend of his who said he is a genuinely nice bloke and a massive Villa fan.

One who isn't still playing is Jota, temporarily at least. Without a club for the last year.

I am very surprised - he may not have been good enough for us but surely a Spanish, Italian side could of benfited from his ability.

Maybe he just has enough money  ...... if so fair play to him

Was Cleverley ever actually a Villa player or was he just here on loan? Either way, he was shite in the main.
