This is a bit bonkers though especially when you consider the league had been going a decade before his debut, and how many players don't make many appearances.

Almost half the players to have played in the Premier League since it was formed in 1992-93 (5,094) have either played alongside or against Milner.

I think Barry was superb and just seemed to play effortlessly. Milner was more versatile, and that's probably gone against him overall.

Loved them both, however, when you compare their appearances...............

Was only in the middle for one season though, when he directly replaced Barry. He's was more workmanlike on the wing I thought, effective but no more than that.
