It's a shame on the Villa that they don't recognise the passing of an ex Viila player.It doesn't matter that they weren't a player that we all sang songs for. The mere fact that they played for the Villa is enough for me.Come on AVFC how much out of your corporate lives would a minutes silence or applause have taken.We are a club that remembers it's players. It was a sad moment today when the club couldn't be bothered to mourn the passing of an ex player.
As ever, a) the family might not have wanted it and b) ex-players die regularly and if we had a silence for them all we'd have one almost every week.
