Having just seen the pictures of this protest on Sky Sports News for the first time... I don't think I've ever cringed so much.

You obviously haven't read the press reports then.

Oh dear. Well done all for making us look like our chavvy neighbours.

I have reservations over McLeish and his abilities but I refuse to accept that the great majority of this hogwash is not based on who his former employer is.

I cant see what the fuss is about.

People care about the Club and chose to demonstrate

It wont do a lot of good but it shows they care

Do they really care about the club, or is it knee-jerk "He's one of Them"?

They care about the Club because they see us making the second rubbish management appointment in the space of 9 months and feel the club is moving backwards

How dare people express their views.  It's an outrage.  Next they'll be forums and all sorts....

If people want to protest then fair play to them.  They are entitled to their opinion and it's the words removed that have been on this site insulting people for expressing their views that are really dragging the club down.

Isn't that the kind of blanket judgement that we used to get wound up about as football fans in years gone by, though?

I suspect some of them hate the idea he is coming from Blues, but I image a large number of them are most wound up at what looks like a bizarre appointment.

That's the impression Tim Abraham got from speaking to people last night, so he said on that there tweeting thing.

And you can honestly say they'd have been protesting if he'd come from any other club?

So why spend most of the time singing anti-Blues songs. We all know that it's mainly about him working for them however much they all try to pretend otherwise.

Sorry Dave but are you towing party lines here with that patronising statement or is that a genuine question?  Villa fans deserve more credit than that, the media will spin that angle all day long but you must be aware that a lot of us just don't think he is good enough REGARDLESS of who he managed before.

Mclaren would have warranted the same treatment

True but at least McClaren attempts to play the beautiful game imo which is the huge white elephant if the room if you ask me, but knowing me I'll be eating humble pie when Eck has us playing a passing game and we're lifting a trophy.....
