I blame it all on M Houllier's aorta. Wish he was still our manager.

Great post, Mr. Green.

It is and depressingly bleak.

As I'm guessing next season will be.

Those who have set their sights on mid-table mediocrity have over stretched themselves methinks.  A bit like that Bruce Forsyth card game on the telly......Lower.....Lower

This is so fucking annoying, it's really hit me now how disastrous it is. This is the end of the optimism of five years ago, and we now appear to be heading into a bleak grey future.

A friend of mine has just called from London; he said he's just seen an American gentleman going into a posh restaurant with a balding, ginger haired Scotsman.

False alarm though, it was just Jimi Somerville being taken up the Oxo Tower.

Absolutely. He'd made some gaffes but I was looking forward to him having a full pre-season with a clear-out and bringing in his own players. We'll never know what might have been. We sure as fuck know what it might be now

Look at it a different way, if we don't offer it to him then who, don't say anyone... who could we know realistically get who they are going to offer it to.  They have made it pretty clear they will only consider someone with Premiership experience.

Rafa and Carlo are not interested;

Moyes, Coyle and Martinez are not interested;

Hughes will not be offered it because of his demands and/or the way he let Fulham (it was reported Randy has a business relationship with Al Fayed??)

Fat Sam and Woy have only just recently taken on new appointments, so who is left you would prefer...

Zola;
Houghton;
Warnock;
Coppell;
Hoddle;
Gullit;
Curbishley;
Holloway....

I can not say I would want any of them ahead of McLeish.  Not that I want him either.

I don't understand why Randy didn't consider Fat Sam, if he is considering McLeish.
