I couldn't care less that he managed Blues, I do care that he got them relegated twice. I was hoping for a better manager is all.

Don't waste your prayers.   He is a shit manager and he will stink out Villa Park and everywhere else he takes his team.

He is rubbish.   Face up to it, we have no future with him at the helm.

Randy Lerner, Charles Krulak, Faulkner and all the other stooges have at a stroke plunged the club into years of bitter acrimony.   Every game we play against Small Heath will be like the Battle for Stalingrad.   Villa fans will turn on each other and we shall see the spectacle of fights on the Holte as in the days of O'Leary.   We have been plunged into what is bound to be a never ending legal wrangle over McLeish's contract.   We will be dobbed in to the FA by Small Heath for tapping up McLeish.   We have been ridiculed and vilified in the tabloids by Villa hating journalists like Oliver Holt.  We shall be forced to pay massive compensation to Small Heath for McLeish's contract buy out and if anybody uses the words constructive dismissal I would not trust the present board to boil an egg legally.

Good players will read the tabloids and shun the club and bad lazy players will see a chance to play ugly and make millions. Worst of all the repect and admiration which Randy Lerner commanded from the Villa fans has evaporated.

Down this course the board have steered lies McLeish being sacked ahead of a relegation battle and Randy Lerner selling the club.

Villa will survive but it will not survive through prayers for McLeish.   Villa will survive because there are enough of us hard bastards out here who have been through it all before and who will confront the club owner and board and give them no hiding place.

The very same stamp of fans who passed around the hat and gave Tommy Docherty £100,000 of our own money to buy Bruce Rioch.

Time for a little light relief.
Complete the following headline...........
Villa Reject McLeish In Favour Of................
...Randy invests some of his remaining millions in revolutionary scientific experiments that results in Alan Ball being brought back to life and given strict orders to sell bent and Downing immediately and replace them with Uwe Rosler and Steve Lomas

It seems a rather melodramatic description for the mid-table mediocrity that awaits, but you cannot deny the artistic flourish.
