I seem to remember when Mr Lerner took over, there was talk that if he couldn't achieve his lofty ambitions, he would sell up and give somebody else a go.

Got anyone lined up yet Randy?

We can but hope.  What a sad way for things to end up.

For year's I have felt proud of our Owner in contrast to what other clubs have had to put up with but this whole process has been nothing short of a shambles in which the consequnce is we get left with a woeful manager and a case to  be herd for tapping up.It's shocking ...

On Friday I came off my scooter in the rain, I suffered a few cuts and woke up on Saturday feeling like I'd....well fell off a scooter. Today I'm in Traffic and someone runs in to the back of my car, no damage but I might have to visit the Doctors due to a 7 hour headache. When I reverse to leave where I finally get to, I fail to notice a lamppost that's been chopped in half by the council, it wipes out the front wing of my car.

I wouldn't bother buying a lotto ticket this week, mate.

I can't blame the Villa for what's happened to me since Friday but McLeish is going to have to win some bloody Trophies to win my trust.

The first estimate is £700. I've been Driving a Scooter for 10 years and a car for almost 3 and 3 out of my total of 4 accidents have happened in the last 5 days.

This situation needs to be sorted out or I'm going to kill someone.

Just on Radio5 that Blues are launching a complaint alleging that Villa "tapped up" their manager....!

I hope they succeed and Premier League immediately step in and stop this illegal move by  the Villa  to undermine another  Football club.

You know how when we were watching last season and it was completely obvious to all but the coaching staff that Gabby and Ashley needed their positions swapped because Gabby was ineffective on the wing and Young was less effective through the middle...well, that blindness appears to be catching since our owners obviously can't see the drivel McLeish used to serve up over the other side of the city. I'll say this, nice and clear, to any representative of the club that happens to be reading - WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING? IT WON'T WORK. IT'S OBVIOUS. WE DON'T HATE HIM BECAUSE HE'S A BLUENOSE, BUT BECAUSE HIS FOOTBALL IS RUBBISH. HE HAS OVERSEEN TWO RELEGATIONS IN THREE AND A HALF YEARS. HE CANNOT MANAGE AT THIS LEVEL. GET ANYBODY ELSE IN. GET A MANAGER FROM A DIVISION BELOW HIM IF YOU MUST, BUT PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, DON'T GIVE HIM THE JOB, BECAUSE IT WILL END IN UTTER, ABJECT, HUMILIATING FAILURE.

I agree , Its a fuhking disgrace , worst of all we are the laughing stock of the prem ...

I'm clinging onto the hope that their interviewing of ''suitable candidates'' mean they want to take in absoloutely anyone who has been managing in the Premier League recently and could be available.

There's also a hint in the club's latest statement that the big-names that we all clamour for, aren't really too interested in staying here long-term or buying into the ethos to the club that Randy and co. are clearly looking for. Therefore it looks like it's being left to eager-to-please hard-working merchants.

I think the reaction over this has made us all look a bit embarassing to be honest but the appointment of McLeish, would really be pretty disappointing given his mixed record.

Birmingham City Football Club finds Aston Villa's announcement today (Tuesday) to proceed with an interview with Alex McLeish a contempt of Premier League and FA rules.

The club feel this will taint football and give the game and the footballing authorities a bad name if this is allowed to materialise. The club will do what is within its powers to prevent this and will lodge a formal complaint to the authorities tomorrow as there is now not the slightest doubt remaining about this tap up attempt.

Birmingham City FC stresses that this conduct, if condoned, will open up flood gates and set a very bad precedent. This is also an attack against the intelligence and integrity of not only the Villa fans, but most importantly our fans who are badly let down after having just been relegated. It is definitely a bitter pill to swallow for all fans concerned, both here and across the city. Never have the two clubs seen such a strong unity between their rival fans and this unity is based on humility and integrity and what is right and fair.

The LMA's announcement today is refuted as the club has a very rigid approval system where only players formally identified, and with approval forms signed and sanctioned by the manager personally are brought in. The chief scout was sacked only after Mr McLeish was informed who at that time had chosen not to comment.

The allegations against the club, president Carson Yeung and the Board are frivolous excuses and without foundation.

The matter is now with Birmingham City FC's lawyers and no further comments will be made

Just to give me any hope at all, is there any indication that this McLeish interview is part of a wider period of interviews with others? Like he's in at 10:30, followed by Van Gaal 20 minutes later? Anyone? Please? Help...

The villa - tapping up?

No way.   We have a shortlist of cholesterol-free managers.  We don't do that!
And he hasn't passed his interview yet.

I doubt it. For a start, they wouldn't know who the manager is as the decision hasn't been made yet.
