With Blose looking to "fully investigate" McLeish's resignation and potential link to Villa, no doubts they'll try to go through the courts to get an injunction as he's broken his contract with them.  If we are to appoint him, then I can see this rolling on for a while.  I'd rather wait for Mark Hughes in any case.

I dont remember AVFC releasing any statement about Hughes?
No thinking back, you're right, I must have imagined that bit about a statement. But I got the impression at the time that we'd 'let it be known' pretty sharpish that we weren't interested.... but then that was at the start of this whole saga when I was actually believing some of what was reported!

I bet David Moyes is tucked up in bed fast asleep and unaware what people are claiming on Twitter.

So the reason why lots of money was being put on McLeish as our next manager on Saturday because someone ITK knew he was going to resign today and people would assume McLeish would come to us? Am I right?

Hughes was 1/14 on to join Villa when he resigned. Mcleish is/was 1/5 on.  Calm down everyone this is not going to happen. And the people who are already having a go at Lerner need to remember the General has already stated that no information will be conducted through the media. So nothing has been released by the club. Stop letting SSN and all the journalists involved in non factual comments become "reality" inside your heads ........

If McLeish does come to us now he'd be wise to avoid the pre-season Hong Kong trip, unless we employ Jackie Chann to look after him.

This thread is bad for my health, I think we all need to take a deep breath and wait for news from the Villa via the official site. It is the sure way of knowing what is going on in B6, the trouble is now with media, tweets, ITK's being available every second of the day we as fans believe anything. The bookies, talksports, skys, etc. love this and thrive on it, trust the General and Randy as they haven't let us down so far and i'm sure they won't again. Up the Villa!
