A mate of mine is a bookie and he's useless. It's not so much the tips he gives us don't win. half the time they don't even start the race.

McLiesh resigns, sends Villa fans into riot mode, let's have some fun tonight and BS about Moyes resigning.  All sounds too convenient.  Hope I'm wrong all the same.  Radio City seem pretty quiet about it all. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

This McLeish thing's a bit rum.
We claim to do things by the book.....contacting chairmen for permission to speak to their man etc.
Now according to that piece in The Mirror, Pannu is pretty incandescent about McLeish resigning. So I take it there was no contact made with their board by any other club. That doesn't sound like the way we go about things.
Maybe he has been tapped up but hopefully not by us.
One other thing to throw in to the mix, Billy Davies got the sack today, so McLeish to Forest?

Is everyone just troll baiting when saying Moyes is going to resign?

If this happens I think it might go down as the #1 trolling moment the internet has ever seen.

But if that appears on the yellow bar, then it'll never happen

I hope that we can now look past the McLeish rumour. I know that not everyone is going to agree with this, but have the Villa board led the press a merry dance with this appointment? As much as they've attempted to lambast us with various articles, they are all beginning to look rather stupid because they've not got one rumour correct. It must be really pissing them off. Even normally reliable reporters like Kendrick's must feel like his head is spinning.

Any statement or lack of statement from Villa in the next 12 hours or so will provide us with a few clues.
When Hughes resigned Villa were quick to officially distance themselves from him so surely they would have to do the same for McLeish.
If Villa now say nothing about McLeish then this tells us we ARE interested in him.

If we take McLeish it is because he is cheap and we will buy cheap Scottish players happy to take less than £40k a week. Happy to take something better than the dole.

Sort it out Randy...

they did. It was only to state that we hadn't been in contact with Hughes, and he hadn't contacted the club. However, it didn't ever rule him our as a potential candidate but the suggestion is, depending on what you decide to believe, that the Villa board were not impressed in Hughes' conduct in departing Fulham.
