A nose I know put that on Facebook.  Can't see that being the case yet as surely the new manager will want to pick his own keeper.  If he does pick Foster, then great!

I am really shocked, and really disappointed by all this.

Not by Freidal leaving, I think that was obvious last week. But that it has been done before a manager has been appointed. What about if the new manager wanted Freidal to stay ? , Redknapp clearly feels he has two years left, what about if the new manager thought that as well.

Was Freidal out of contract , I can't remember, if so, then we obviously can't stop him, but I would have thought all incomings and outgoings should be put on hold to see what the new man wants.

Good look Freidal. We have had some superb goalies in my lifetime - Bozzie , Spink, Rimmer - you were up there with all of them (apart from Bozzie I will admit  - he's the best we've had ever !)

Randy would have said "I'm not giving a two year contract to a 40 year old."  And rightly so.

I think we got the best out of big Brad.

Praying Green is not his replacement. Given is good for another few years and is top quality. I'd say he's as good as Bosnich was and Dickie Dunne plays well with him for Ireland. Foster might be the better shout long term though.

Wigan have offered £3 million for Al-Habsi. If it goes through that's one potential target we can eliminate... for a season at least.

Not sure about McGregor. I can forgive him for his error against De Oirish the other week but not sure I can forgive him for his cockish behaviour to the last Scotland boss.

If we don't go Foster I hope Ancelotti comes in and brings some Italian genius keeper with him. Good keepers the Italians... Pagliuca, Zenga, Stallone...

and what if the new manager didnt rate friedel on a two year deal that we would have had to offer him just to find out?

he was at the end of his contract, we offered him a deal to keep him, spuds offered him one too... he chose spurs...

not really a lot we can do about that...

Sky now saying they understand Villa are also interested in Al-Habsi. Not sure how that works... we haven't got a manager!

Robbo

since hes lost abit of weight and moved to Blackburn hes raised his game big time, and he was a good keeper before that anyway

If we sign Green or Given i'll be extremely disappointed, Givens a one trick pony shot stopper and Green, well I don't need to say anything

the fact he went to the world cup infront of robbo, absolutely baffles me to this day. The most mentally fragile keeper in the league

How many fuck ups is Given remembered for ? At a guess.....not many.
Green is a fuck up waiting to happen.
I'd take Given over him any day.
