It's like a supermarket offering stuff cheap as a loss leader to get people into the shop

I think Morrison's offering white printer paper packs as buy one get one free is racist. They should be offering other  colour paper  on same basis as well. tut tut....

I still think they're acting illegally personally.  The Equality Act states that you can't disadvantage a group of people who share the same characteristics (in this case anybody who isn't Polish) which is clearly the case here as anybody who isn't Polish has to pay more to attend the same game.  On the other hand, the positive action provision allows you to take action if a group of people are underrepresented in a particular activity, which I suppose is the argument they're taking.  However, for that to occur, the group in question has to have a disadvantage that the positive action is designed to overcome.  I can't see that there's anything stopping the average Pole from attending Bath City games, the same as anybody else.

Poles are lucky and privileged. Every time I see some  there  are  half naked girls wrapped around them!

Risso, so they might be acting illegally (although they insist that they asked for advice and were told they weren't), but do you agree or disagree with the principle?

I disagree with it on the whole, as I just think that sort of action has the potential to breed discontent.  I'm sure they could have come up with other ways of attracting Polish support without resorting to discrimination.

didn't like the way Villa changed certain things when inviting the local Asian community to watch us play

I've no problemn with you raising your issues about this but you have to start from a factual basis

Villa didn't invite local Asians to a game at Villa Park. They invited all local residents to a game. My Brother in law and nephew took advantage of the offer.

And fair play to Villa for doing it, I reckon.

Indeed. That's exactly the point and illustrates the difference very well. As I said at the time of that promotion, it was an excellent idea because it's only right and proper for the club to do what it can to get on well with its immediate neighbours.

I agree with Risso's point as well. Although Bath City clearly mean well, what they're doing is discriminatory and could just end up breeding discontent among their existing support. More trouble than it's worth in the end.

In my experience most non-league supporters are only too glad for anything which gets new fans in.

Maybe they could just do an offer of say, £3 or £4.00 entrance to everyone who goes to that match?
It could be classed as a kind of thank you for your support price to their regular fans as well maybe encouraging new fans from every background. If they want to aim at getting some of the Polish population, just advertise the game in Polish areas, shops etc.
