Bangladesh's batting has been fine. If they can knock this sort of score together consistently they will turn over one of the bigger teams. They just let India, probably the finest batting side on the planet, get away from them by getting too big a score.

Agreed. One decent pace bowler and they'd actually be an OK side, probably on a par (or just below)  NZ.

In these conditions I'd still fancy them to have at least one good day at the office, one match where the batting delivers and their spinners come to the party.

The tournament itself is far too long and seems to be designed to keep the sponsors happy with India in the competition to the death.

I think that India, Sri Lanka, South Africa and Pakistan will contest the semis and by that stage we will have all become bored and gone home.

I concur both these comments.
It is long however  the sponsors, TV channels and punters on the sub-continent have out their cash  up and want it  badly. All tickets have been sold. As for TV channels and sponsors  it's all about India and Pakistan staying in it for as long as possible and meeting each other in the semi or final. Everyone  else is a sideshow.

On winning it I think it's India's to lose and when they do Sri Lanka will nip in!

The length is ridiculous. Some teams have to wait eight days between games. There are only 14 days on which there is more than one game. Ludicrous.

India will win it for me as they are at home, you can never count the aussies out and England will get close but struggle with injuries, should make for good watching though.

I think England will make heavy weather of Holland - it's the wait more than anything. Watching most of their rivals (Australia and New Zealand in particular) roll their first matches over easily sets the scene for a tight and tense match.

We've been very poor in the field today. The mix up between Jimmy and KP for a skied catch was farcical. Reviewing an LBW decision when clearly the batsman had hit it and was outside of the line anyway was utter madness.

Jimmy seems to have forgotten the rules; thankfully the umpires did too. As I understand it he should have been taken out of the attack under the bouncers per over rule.

The batsmen will have to earn their corn otherwise we risk another humiliation at the hands of the Dutch.
