And a break from villa spare a thought- or not - for arsenal and there issues..

this song so funny

&feature=youtu.be

I wouldn't celebrate too much. That result today could persuade Wenger to use that pile of money he's sitting on. And if he fancies Bent, the board will undoubtably sell him to them.

I recon everyone is for sale. I would not be one bit surprised if the asset stripping continues and if a decent bid came in for Bent it would be accepted.

thats my view. Everything must go... We're not selling players on ability but who's actually attracting bids.

As you can't sell a player unless there is a bid you're not really saying much there.

Bent will not be going, you know it but you're just in one of your trying to be controversial moods. Have you been at the WKD again?

wake up and smell the coffee chris. I'm sure you were saying the same about downing two months ago. Only thing keeping Bent here currently is no bidder

I would be amazed if Bent goes anywhere.

But I'd also be amazed if we got a bid that made us even a small profit on our overall outlay that we wouldn't jump at the chance during the current apparent climate.

I don't think that's being very controversial.

Disagree, entirely.

They bought Bent in January to stave off the threat of relegation. You really think they'd sell him now with no time to sign a replacement?

Downing agitated for a move, Bent hasn't. That's the difference.

Unless Bent wants to go, he'll stay. He's insurance against relegation. Selling him could be costly, and I think even the board realise this.

Riiiiiight, and if Arsenal made a bid tomorrow and Bent made it known he wanted to join them? it's been apparent all summer whats going on. Rangers want Cueller, we try to flog him, he won't go there, so then young gets flogged at the first sign of interest. Hogg apparently on a free.. fucking waste of the youth set-up that was. Now the Makoun rumour.... They should have forgot about squad numbers this season and just put a price tag on their backs.

Arsenal losing 8-2 is a warning sign to what cud happen if we get injuries and suspension and if we dont bring players in.

Many signings needed esp if we selling makoun and now bent

Brice, I think you're missing the concept of hypothesis and abstract thought.

ok so he s not going ? I didnt think anyone like arsenal or others could bid enough but other posters on here saying all players are for sale ?
Confused. I personally think it wouldnt be wise to accept a bid from arsenal whatevre the price.

Bottom line is Lerner decided to buy the club, no-one forced him, and if you want the kudos and prestige of owning a big club full of tradition you have to provide the finances. If he wants to run it like a corner shop he should have bought Walsall. If he ain't got the money he should sell up because I don't see how having a yank version of Ellis is going to do much for the club apart from guaranteeing a spell in the championship in the next couple of years. And then he really won't get his money back

With Bent having about four years left on his contract, I don't think any club out there could afford him - certainly not Arsenal.

ahh thats great news then. Selling bent would be crazy. I dont see why people are suggesting hes going as if he was moving bent would have been sold by now.
Are people suggesting finances are that bad?
That randy wont be bringing in signings like bent anymore?
I suggested players as viable options at current time but like to think some 'big signings' could be made again some time.
