signing  owen hargreaves would not only be a great signing but make sense esp if makoun goes too as hargreaves can play both roles so saves us money !
check out his 'dance moves'

Makoun going would be the last straw for me.

The last straw for you? How about the people who actually go?

you can say that again.

Ok, how about the people who actually go?

Better leave it there clamps.

Yep, i thought you might.

Makoun going would be the last straw for me. Now its purely about who they get money for rather than any sort of team building.

Anyone who's not an automatic first choice and picks up more than average wages is available for sale. The stated strategy is a core of experienced players on competitive wages augmented by youngsters on low wages. I guess that is what they are trying to do.

I don't think AM is a fuckwitt so you tend to get rid of the bad players first not the good ones, and you'd have to be barmy to let Young and Makoun go before Beye or Warnock or ireland. Unless of course no one wants them and your desperate for cash....

I thought that it was well established that the reason we're not selling Beye or Ireland is that no-one is stupid enough to sign them.

Yeah, but it doesn't mean you sell the better players anyway.

Makoun isn't one of the better players though is he ? He hasn't got any minutes in the league so far this season, hardly set the world alight when he played last season and didn't do too great against the mighty Hereford.

you could say that about half the current 1st team. He showed promise last season imo and the reason he could be off if he's on decent wages and someone wants him.

I can't think of anything that Warnock has done wrong since McLeish has come in.

When we have a squad about 13 players, why would you want to get rid of Warnock?!

IMO he's pretty much carried on from last season. Only difference is he hasn't cost us. Yet.. All about opinions i guess.

Last year he was fucking awful.

This year we've conceded one goal, which was nothing to do with him.

I'm struggling to think of a single mistake he's made this season. Unless you can remind me of something I've missed.

I've definitely seen him dive in when he should stay on his feet at least three times, which is his main weakness imo.

Still think he's been ropey. We'll see how he fares when we play someone good.

I wouldn't celebrate too much. That result today could persuade Wenger to use that pile of money he's sitting on. And if he fancies Bent, the board will undoubtably sell him to them.

I recon everyone is for sale. I would not be one bit surprised if the asset stripping continues and if a decent bid came in for Bent it would be accepted.

OMG would we really sell Bent too ??

i think letting darren bent go for £35 million would be foolish as we wouldnt be able to repalce him in time.
Though £35 million would be appealing Wenger would never ofer that so we can rest easy

There's no way Arsenal would try and buy Bent. We'd want far more than they would offer.

Not that I doubt we'd sell even if someone offered us a small profit.

You don't think we'd sell Darren Bent for 35 million?

Dear God alive.

The way things are going now, I reckon we'd sell him for 20.
