Does anyone know if Vargas played against us in that friendly last year? I was very impressed with their left sided number 6 in that game but can't mind his name.

That was him. http://www.goal.com/en/match/37011/aston-villa-vs-fiorentina/lineup-stats

Why does the media think that Parker was the West Ham captain? It was Matt Upson.

I would love this week to be the week we kick into gear. Given, Vargas, Parker, NZogbia and Dann. Sorted for the season ahead.

Am I right in thinking that Vargas story is only on that shitty football site and not reported anywhere else?

If so, we can forget about it.

Evening Mail report suggests no interest in Vargas and we're nearing the end game with N'Zogbia:

Shame if that's true. But not a massive suprise.

Already been said on numerous occasions, but just cough up the dough for N'Zogbia

He is definitely worth the money and there are no realistic targets as good available.

If we end up with Aidan fuckin Mcgeady................

If we signed him, we may as well just give up.

Written bids seem to be the way these things continue to be done - you can resign by email now but you cannot bid for a player using it !!!

Hang on. Firstly a written bid is still accepted as the only official way of bidding.
Secondly, Wigan havent rejected our bid. It's all very well trivialising a million pounds, if that is the difference, but we've tabled a bid, we're the only club officially after him and it hasnt been rejected.

That old scrote is holding out for a better offer that isn't coming and we're no longer getting mugged off for whatever clubs want to rinse us over.
Yes, we need to get the deal done but I seriously doubt it's in jeopardy anyway.

I mean with Nzogbia why fuck about with 9 million instead of 10?

The longer it goes on the less chance we have of signing him.

Welcome to VP Aiden.

How do you work this out?
We're the only club in for him, our bid is therefore the highest and has not been rejected and Wigan won't keep him beyond this window. They need to sell him.

Stop being a drama queen.

has been widely reported by numerous sources wigan rejected our bid as it was just below the £10m valuation, its a fair price so lets pay it.
