And not get your knickers in a twist over every piece of presumptuous gossip you read in the News Of The World.

Did I also read at the weekend that the new manager won't be given all the funds from Youngs transfer? So much for that load of bollocks Krulak came out with about 'just imagine what AM could do with a board that backs him'.

I think it might be a good idea to wait and see what happens first

Yeah but the start of the season is six weeks away, the new manager has been in charge for two weeks, we've seen two first teamers leave and there's still no sniff of any new signings.

It's time to get a fucking move on.

This sounds a good one (if true of course)

http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/transfer-news/Aston-Villa-Real-Madrid-midfield-starlet-Sergio-Canales-target-for-season-long-loan-also-wanted-by-Everton-article753626.html?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter

I'd like it to be true, but a very good Spanish U-21 player coming to England to get game time doesn't ring true to me. Wouldn't he be better off playing in Spain?

As someone who lives kinda near Stoke and used to live in Peterborough when Etherington was a first team player at 17 I would say those who think he would be a crap signing are f*cking deranged. Wake up and smell the coffee. How many goals do you think Bent would get with Etherington supplying the ammo? Lots is the answer. I don't know what some of you guys are looking for sometimes but just a hint, Ronaldo is unlikely to join and if he did is unlikely to work with Bent.

I think Etherington would be a replacement for Downing though, is he still a heavy gambler?

9 assists last year, one less than Adam and Downing. Not bad eh?

He probably is in the same way alcoholics are still drawn to the alcohol. BUT, how many seasons has he had at Stoke now delivering (and yes, he delivers)? If his gambling is still an issue, which I doubt, it clearly isn't affecting his football. I know loads of Stoke fans and they would be absolutely gutted if he left.

And 9 assists last year? How many would he get in a good side? I think he is significantly better than Downing.

etherington is shite as far as i'm concerned. 9 assists in stoke's hoof ball style? well i think that would tell us how AM intends to play if it happened to be true.
