bannan and The Fonz need to be tried in our first team and not someone elses.

Give then a run and if they are not good enough then they get moved on

Neither are good enough for the first team at the moment , I believe Vaughan may have gone to Sunderland or is very close to doing so, he confirmed he was talking to them, thst would be another decent player on a free for brucey.

 Another Brucey bonus, eh ?

This is precisely why I think A-Mac should of already sorted out who's worth keeping and who aint. If he waits till the players get back from training to see where they stand, a lot of good players at reasonable prices may have already of been snapped up. Clubs are starting early this summer. We cant afford to play the waiting game when the likes of Newcastle and Sunderland are already making their purchases. Otherwise we will get left behind again. If he was really chomping at the bit to run this club he needs to act fast, to at least show the fans and the players he means business. Got a feeling from what has come out though we'll prob only buy a GK within the next 2 wks. Its gonna be a lonnnnnnnng summer.

Agree, we'll never find out if they're good enough if we keep loaning them out.

Seconded. Bannan's already shown glimpses he can play at this level. Not sure why some people still dont think he'll cut it. A lot are also seemingly getting depressed at A-Mac's comments on using more of the youth. This is one of the reasons Im excited for next season!

Would love to see Bannan given a go in a three man midfield as the most advanced of the three.  Seems to have that touch and agility to turn on a sixpence and pick a pass.

Absolutely, I just hope he gets a chance under AM... maybe AM will be a little biased to the little scot.

I don't see Bannan making an impact this season unfortunately. Too lightweight and passive, a team like ours really can't afford to play a luxury player like him in midfield.

Unless we go all out and play him as a second striker like Man City play Silva with 3 more defensive minded players behind him.

Charlie Adam with Bannan as understudy. And for £1.25m bring in DJ Campbell for Heskey like for like but wages less than halved. Then a total ban on anymore Scots .....

Linked with guy demel, al habsi today.

I am feeling a bit uneasy that we won't see any sort of big signing, instead using the incoming money to stock up the squad. We do need that, but if we rely on bent, gabby, (downing?) to be our star players with the kids really coming to the fore as main players rather than interesting bit part players, I suspect we'll be in for another turbulent season. It would be a huge pressure on albrighton to be seen to replace young.

And I really don't see many signs that gabby and bent can play up front together in a convincing way.

I am really concerned that if Ash is not replaced with another creative player we will be struggling next season to get Bent into goal scoring positions. Adam and N'Zogbia make perfect sense for us, and could be got for about 22 million for them both. Both young enough to retain a decent sell on value too.

There might be a reason we're not aware of but it could be his outrageous curent salary.
