Agree , someone like Norwich or Swansea would be ideal for bannan and give him regular premier experience as I still think he is not going to figure too often in our first team- I have much higher hopes for Gary Gardner to be honest.

Give then a run and if they are not good enough then they get moved on

Just out of interest anyone got any thoughts on David Vaughan from Blackpool.

I think he is on a free and many Blackpool fans think he was the reason Charlie Adam shined so brightly. I think he got Blackpool's player of the season. Maybe an alternative to Reo-Coker?

Yeh, someone like Norwich or Swansea would be good for him or possibly a Bolton or Wigan. I'm looking forward to seeing Gary Gardner break into the 1st team. Im hearing a lot of good things about him plus he is better than his older brother (from what I hear)

I think £2m mark would be a fair figure for someone who didnt feature much last term..

Even taking to account the fact he didn't figure much last term (and that was odd, with the calamity twins at the back fumbling their way through the season) you should be looking at least double the figure you gave there.

Personally I think he's worth a lot more, but then the issue is complicated by how long he has left on his contract and how important it is to get him off the wage bill if Big Eck has another CB or two lined up. So you might be getting a bargain.

I'd like him. I'd much prefer him to Adam as I think he is much closer to the player we need. The issue is that he is (I think) only 5 foot 9. As things stand we desperately lack height in midfield.

Neither are good enough for the first team at the moment , I believe Vaughan may have gone to Sunderland or is very close to doing so, he confirmed he was talking to them, thst would be another decent player on a free for brucey.

If Holloway hadn't been such a penis, Bannan to them for a year would make sense if/when Adam does eventually depart.

A lot of Championship sides are set up to be attritional, physical outfits and might view him as a luxury. There is no point him going somewhere just to sit on the bench. He can do that at our place. But Blackpool's style of play would suit him and if he has a run of games and looks like one of the better players in that division it could be decent for his long term development.
