Plenty of goals with both teams unable to keep clean sheet -

4-2 away victory with our England duo of Young & Bent doing the damage -

Anyone know if the pleasure beach is open this weekend? I know it would be nicer to visit Blackpool in September but I'm hoping that is won't be a ghost town with all the attractions closed?

Welcome Nuneaton av and thanks for the info.

The pleasure beach is open every Saturday and Sunday. You do however, have to shell out 20 odd sheets just to get in these days.

Not sure if its been mentioned but we have conceded the most amount of goals from corners in the Premier League this season. Blackpool have scored the most. Both 11.

Great not sure what you guys think but for me Friedal has been at fault for most of our corners he just doesnt command the box well enough

I've noticed Friedal never comes for crosses

Blackpool have scored and conceded in every one of their home games this season. I envisage that statistic will change this weekend.

Not sure about the result but expect the game to be held up for 10 minutes whilst ticketless Des Little of Solihull ziplines onto the the pitch off the top of the Tower

2-2. Campbell and Adam for them; Heskey and Downing for us.

I'm hoping that:

1. Lineswoman Sian Massey from Coventry breaks down on the M6, and is spotted with bonnet up looking helplessly at the engine by a coachload of Villa fans... who give her a lift and are seen dropping her off at the ground by Holloway.
2. GH fields the entire Villa reserve team.
3. GH is caught chatting to Charlie Adam in the tunnel by Holloway.
4. We come from behind to win 3-2 with two blatantly offside goals in the last few minutes...
5. ... which are not spotted by the lineswoman.
6. Then to rub it in after the game Holloway walks back to his car to discover Villa fans have nicked one of his three wheels. They then drive past him on their coach showing off the wheel - and the lineswoman they're giving a lift home.
7. Monday morning the FA announce that no action will be taken against Villa for fielding a weaker side.

That lot should guarantee us two of the funniest post-match interviews and Monday afternoon press conferences of all time. And three points.

going to back the over 2.5 goals in this match. 2 teams with abysmal defensive records.

petrov should be dropped.

go 4-3-3 with makoun, bradley and bannan in the centre please. downing and young supporting bent up front.

gabby and albrighton to come on as impact subs if it all goes tits up.

I love the way that in every one of these threads, someone says, "I'd like to see us play 442". Not going to happen!

Have you read about their goalkeeping issues?  Only Kingston is half fit, so Beattie is down as reserve goalie...  We should be smelling blood here
